The Team section in the dashboard allows admins to add, update, and manage team members by providing and modifying their access rights.
Follow the steps to create new contributor in team section
- Step 1: Login to the Publive Dashboard.
- Step 2: Navigate to the Team or Add Team Members
- Step 3: Click "Add Team member" to open the Create Member page
Step 4:Fill in the required details:
- Email (Mandatory)
- Name (Mandatory)
- Slug (Mandatory – enter the team member's unique identifier)
- Role (Mandatory – select the Contributor role)
- Meta Title & Meta Description (Optional but recommended)
- Author Display Order (Default: 1000)
- Description (optional)
- Hide Author on Website (if do not want to show the name on the website turn off the button)
- Add Social Profiles (optional)
Step 5:Click "Save" to add the team member.
Step 6: Deleting a Member
Click the delete icon under the actions column.
Click "Delete" to confirm the deletion but Deletion is not possible when this member has posts that exist.
- The member will be permanently removed from the dashboard.
Step 7: Editing a Member’s Role
Click the edit icon under the actions column.
Select a new role from the drop down menu and Click "Save" to update the details.
Note:A Contributor cannot access the dashboard directly.The owner/admin manages the contributor's account.
Role filters :Role filters can show the members of respective roles as shown below :
Link the Contributor to the Byline:
- Go to the Content Type section.
- Navigate to Credits and search for the contributor’s email ID.
- Add the contributor to the credits to ensure their name appears as a byline on the website.

Adding a Guest Contributor as a Byline helps digital publishers maintain content diversity and credibility by featuring industry experts, freelance writers, and guest authors. It enhances audience engagement, builds authority, and allows for fresh perspectives without granting full dashboard access. By properly attributing contributors through Team Management and Credits, publishers can ensure transparency, streamline editorial workflows, and optimize content visibility on their platforms.
